    It’s depressing, he’s very good at unveiling bills that the general public will support, but will never pass. One day the government will work for us

      It won’t pass now (most Dems would vote it down, to say nothing of the Republicans), but it’ll gradually shift the Overton window. As the idea of shorter working hours appears in more places, people will be more inclined to entertain it rather than immediately rejecting it.

      What’s more depressing is half the public won’t support it because of who presented it.

      It will not. Governments do not exist to serve the people. They exist to control the people. The good news is that government is not necessary.
