I built a home theater PC and now I’m obsessed with getting an xmb ui on there. I know retro arch has a nice implementation, but I couldn’t find any support for jellyfin or spotify menu items. Should I forge ahead and create custom ones? Does anyone know a better way? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

There used to be a Kodi/XMBC skin for that but development on that seems to have been abandoned years ago.

Depending on your use case Kodi might be a better fit for your HTPC as it tightly integrates with Jellyfin and also has a Spotify plugin. And some skins work generally the way the xmb used to work - they just look very different

    Zross?

    X-Cross?

    X-ross?

Oh, it’s just pronounced Cross. Always unsure how people who make decisions like these get the jobs they do.

It’s like, they’re rewarded for being stupid.

Aside from playstation and walkman, Sony has never been good at naming literally anything they’ve made. It’s usually just a jumble of letters and numbers on any of their products.

Funny enough, at the time this was new, I was not a fan. But as time has gone on, I have had a very “you don’t know what you got till it’s gone” relationship with it.

Perhaps just have it there and then have spotify & jellyfin outside of that? Can the xmb ui have custom menu or something?
