The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on Monday it has started using polygraph tests to aid investigations aimed at identifying the source of leaks emanating from within the law enforcement agency.

“We can confirm the FBI has begun administering polygraph tests to identify the source of information leaks within the bureau,” the bureau’s public affairs office told Reuters in a statement.

Donald Trump’s administration has been cracking down on people who leak information to journalists since he returned to office in January.

Last week, the Republican US Department of Justice made it easier to subpoena records and testimony from journalists.

They’ll ignore the fact that it’s junk science and use it to remove people they dont like, want, or won’t fall in line.

oh yeah, of course. It is only when people actually lose their job that they can sue over this. This stuff also takes years to shake out, so trump won’t be there to shield them when it starts either.

Yeah! WTF are they up to? But they also love using torture and the information gathered from that process is also notoriously unreliable. Then again they do just have a boner for torture so it’s possible that is the main motivation for the torturing.

Oh, I am sure it is an psych tactic, they use it for hiring interviews and stuff, and I know they know it doesn’t work, like, in the way it is supposed to. So I am pretty sure it is a tactic to make them sweat, get them nervous, get them off their balance.
