  • Unfortunately no official diagnosis since she claims nothing is wrong with her and everyone else is out to get her instead. But I suspect narcissistic personality disorder and potentially ADHD (she’s extremely impulsive and makes/changes long term plans on a whim).

We also had about 20 or 30 car seats all together (including both the infant and toddler variants) and we split up shortly after the kid’s first birthday. The winter she was pregnant, she complained about winter jackets being too small or too cold every few weeks, think I bought her a total of 10-15 jackets over one winter. Couldn’t get one two sizes up either. Had to be exact fit because “I’ll stop growing now anyway”. She did not. Went from 70 KG to peak 140 just before birth, claiming she ate nothing.

  • I was the exception to that. I worked 14-16 hours per day between my main job and my side gigs for a while and still had to take care of the kids (one mine, one step) at least half the time too. What worked for me was going to sleep at 5 and waking up at 7-8.

My lovely ex-wife, however, slept all night (I had to take breaks from work if the baby needed attention at night) AND took naps during the day along with our baby. I would’ve liked to sleep more too, but she had a bit of a spending habit, to say the least. We averaged two strollers a month, etc.

Baby is now a toddler and guess who works 50 hours a month and has time and money for the kid and home renovations vs who’s unable to pay rent after the divorce. Being the lunatic paid off for me, but not in direct financial gain (anything earned during that era was immediately spent by my ex). Mostly it got me some new connections that appreciate my skills and taught me how much money I could be making per hour if I negotiate well.

  • Unlike you, I haven’t downvoted you.

Not even this comment, that was also someone else:

You’re saying advertisers are paying for ads even if they’re not being shown to people. I’m going to have to disagree with that because literally if that came out, it would kick off Adpocalypse 2.0. A company like Apple, Disney or Amazon (some of the biggest ad spenders on YouTube apparently) will have slightly more power in court than you or me. Those are the customers that would be fucked over, not the viewers.

  • Before you get any ideas, weeing in your garden in the hope it’ll help the plants grow isn’t the best plan.

“Urine does naturally contain all of the nutrients that plants need such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, but it also contains a variety of contaminants,” explained Olivia Wilson, NPK Recovery’s research and development scientist.

Well what good is this then, I don’t own a wee fertilizer production company. I do own a compost mound I could pour wee into, though.

  • It’s 2026, the net beneficiary of marriage is whichever half earns less. Assuming shared finances. Which due to the gender pay gap tends to actually be the woman, but could also be the man.

Divorces aren’t terribly difficult to get in any sane parts of the world and there’s really not much power you get over the other party that they don’t also get over you. Plus if you’re a woman, developed countries tend to have things like women’s safety centers to get away from abusive spouses (wish they also had them for men in my country, but luckily that ordeal is mostly over for me). Also two women can get married, which of them then owns the other one? If it’s chattel.
