Care to explain? I’m quite intrigued.

I’m glad you found it funny!

As for the show/movie you’re referencing, unfortunately I haven’t watched it.

My visual interpretation of the conversation

I adore this drawing with its flat-coloured art style. The wavy hair brings a feeling of realism about the character compared to her original stylised hairdo. Also the larger eyes have a unique look of their own.

Edit: Plus it feels nostalgic for some reason.

Edit 2: Damnit. Something about it seems to mesmerize me. I’ll have to download this to my phone after all.

Interesting to see a dedicated SaaS for social media content removal. Unfortunately my message history spans years and I do not wish to purchase its subscription, so it would not be of much help. Thanks for sharing this nonetheless.

Appreciate your post very much. I used to use Brave as my primary browser a few years back but Lemmy basically guilt-tripped me into ditching it for Firefox even though it was working perfectly fine for me. Although now I have naturally grown accustomed to Firefox forks for my daily use, it’s nice to see that I’ll have another viable alternative if I ever need a Chromium browser.

I believe that is the limitation for the Google Play variant. You can download the alternate version allowing unlimited map downloads along with other features all for free from the FDroid repository.

Being legally qualified to operate a nuclear reactor is mind-boggling! Unfortunately it’s not as magnificent as being a certified forklift operator (not me).

I must restate that the option of syncing subtitles by hand is still available in the interface, as mentioned in the post. It is only the question of how to deterministically set the subtitle delay without resorting to tinkering with the controls randomly.

There must be a better way to do this though. I waste too much time tinkering with the syncing at times.

I realised what I’m asking for is essentially a modified version of ‘trial and error’. I should clarify that I’m looking for a technique I could follow to instead of clicking buttons and modifying values by pure randomness and hoping the subtitles sync.

Unfortunately from where I watch movies it is pretty common for the stream and the subtitles to not sync by default as they come from different sources, so syncing them manually is inevitable.

I watch movies online in my browser through uhh… alternative means. Subtitle formats aren’t listed explicitly, though I assume it is .lrc given they are imported from opensubtitles.org.

I’ve been using Audile in favour of Shazam. As a FOSS app, it works flawlessly and virtually has all the features Shazam has, save for account syncing.

I thought it was Octopi?

Yeah I’m not really that proud of that phase. It broke after witnessing consecutively poorer quality shows and movies released after Endgame, after which I tried exploring movies from other franchises.

What did you dislike about Bale’s performance in particular? I’m interested to know since I am biased in favour of him as an actor and could’ve overlooked his flaws in the process.
