There’s one running around Denver with a ladder rack on it. Didn’t look too bad really and the angular body makes it so even my fabrication skills could make a decent looking rack.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•An upcoming California law requires operating system providers to enforce basic mandatory age verificationEnglish
11·2 months agoDamn, sorry you got stalked. I actually knew some dudes that did that to another guy. I did tell them it was fucked up and they were fucking dweebs for doing it, I don’t think it ever escalated to a beating. We were all “rink rats” that hung around at the local ice rink. I was in a junior league with a couple of the guys doing the taunting (not the head goon, he was just useless). I never hung around with those assholes once they started riding around in that guy’s car.

371·2 months agoWhat the fuck? I saw that Colorado wanted to implement something like this but really, how do you enforce it? Is it illegal to install Linux now? Even if you enforce it at the login for Windows, what’s to keep someone from installing a browser that doesn’t recognize the curfew?
It’s like these motherfuckers think everyone just “goes online” with their phones and the vertical software stack those entail. And then, what about GrapheneOS?

1·4 months agoOur governor is pretty much an asshole but yeah, he’s standing up to Trump a little.
Thing is, he can’t do anything about the USPS

People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•This seems specifically designed to break mail-in voting (USPS postmark rule change)
11·4 months agoHere in Colorado we vote by mail, in person or, relevant to this development, we are allowed to drop a ballot into an actual ballot container. It’s like a mailbox but only unlocked during elections.
Great for suburbanites like me but in rural districts might be a bit of a hike.
Blood Libel refers to the antisemitic trope that Jews eat Gentile babies. I doubt you can find anyone that thinks that now, but it was a very real rumor in the past and contributed to very real persecution across Europe

5·4 months agoThe lowest barrier to radio entry once the web came around was shortwave. Dirt cheap, really and worldwide with the right conditions.
Holy shit '90s shortwave was nuts

Exactly. It’s just a pre-built, nothing more. Really wouldn’t be surprised if someone tries to run MacOS on the thing
I’ve built cars and motorcycles. It’s far easier to just buy a car or motorcycle.
Man… The Chinese language is supposed to encompass phrases within single characters, but this sentence is obviously longer in Chinese than it is in English.
Are you trying to trick us?

2·5 months agoAsian asian food is saltier than I expected, but I try to watch my health. Honestly it’s probably just restaurants that do it, like everywhere in North America and Europe is trying to kill me with butter.

22·5 months agoAs opposed to the Europeans who think that wine is a dietary group? Or Asians who think that salt is a vitamin?

5·5 months agoBro, does it still work? I can’t imagine it will but if so, give the magnet link.
Can we still play it? I’ll 1v1 you later today if we can.
With that weird kick on the jump animation and the totally stupid crouch animation.
I’m obviously “Grizzly Bear” but I might be “German Muscle Woman” for the right price.
$20 went a lot further back then.

That is probably the most bruh bruh to ever bruh.
