Salvia and DMT are fucking nuts. I saw a door turn into a face that started laughing at me while everything around me turned into the most vividly real cartoon.

I’m done with mindfulness and drinking water. I just want bad things to happen to bad people in power.

It literally is called the Threadiverse. The terminology predates Threads as a platform.

I was specifically talking about the subsection of the Fediverse that structures itself similarly to reddit (e.g. Lemmy, piefed, mbim, etc).

I’ve wanted to read the series for a while, but getting into it seems so intimidating because of just how much Sir Terry wrote. Do you have a good starting recommendation?

Depends where you are. In America, yes. The term is associated with freak shows and traveling circuses. Nowadays, both ‘little person’ and ‘dwarf’ are acceptable terms, although they might not necessarily fit within your story if you want to avoid modern-sounding language/terms that already apply to another species in your story.

Le Guin is phenomenal. Her acceptance speech at the 65th National Book Awards makes me tear up to this day.
“Hard times are coming, when we’ll be wanting the voices of writers who can see alternatives to how we live now, can see through our fear-stricken society and its obsessive technologies to other ways of being, and even imagine real grounds for hope. We’ll need writers who can remember freedom — poets, visionaries — realists of a larger reality.”
Edit: Here’s the full speech if anyone is interested in listening to it. It’s only six minutes and well-worth it.

Oh hey! I actually made that for her on our first date. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Jesus fucking Christ. The only thing keeping me going at this point is the pure hatred towards the people who support the current American regime.

I used the Korean BBQ flavor Beyond Meat Steak Tips!
My girlfriend has been vegan since she was very young, and I went vegetarian (working on cutting dairy and eggs out) about a month and a half ago. I don’t usually go for imitation meat, but I’ve been having meat cravings so decided to give them a shot and they turned out to be shockingly similar in taste/texture to the real deal. Highly recommend trying some if your local supermarket stocks any.
I fried it up until crispy with some garlic, jalapenos, and homemade gochujang sauce to add a little more flavor. Turned out pretty well :)

Uhhhhh long story 😅
Fuck Prabhakar Raghavan and fuck the capital class whose search for eternal growth has completely wrecked every part of our society.

Yes, that’s what the people involved at all levels in this administration have done.

It’s interesting that IOS users look to be a larger share than Android. I wonder why.

There are a handful of channels that I actively make an effort to watch as soon as they drop a video. In no particular order:
Folding Ideas Zoe Bee Mia Mulder Dime Store Adventures Dr. Geoff Lindsey Bart Ehrman Innuendo Studios Jenny Nicholson
When I was 10 or 11 I once stole a shitload of blank cds from the church my father was the pastor of so that I could burn pirated audiobooks to listen to at night.

Would you mind elaborating on the Peertube instance? How does it integrate/what benefits are there to integration?
Would you mind elaborating on PieFed vote quotas? I haven’t heard about that.
