2·6 days agoShop local when you can. Online is narrowing a market and once there’s only one place to buy they can control the price.
When it comes to books pay the author if you can, publisher second if you have to, and online retailer last.
I appreciate the comment, and understand that it would take some enforcement. I hadn’t realised the NAFTA had changed or been removed or how it currently works.
I know that some sort of identification/understanding of where news is relevant to is something people would benefit from.
Because I’m not good at relationships, I’m over reliant on being independent and spontaneous. My ex’s needed much more but I couldn’t be what they deserved and I hope they’ve found what they need. I’m not sure if I can ever give someone what they need, I need the time to be isolated from people.

71·2 months agoYou’re showing your usian bias, of course its less likely that a server elsewhere in the world is going to interrupt your meal. That doesn’t mean they won’t be available when you need them. The rest of the world doesn’t expect or what someone interrupting their experience every 5 minutes, but we know we can signal them when we need something.
It sounds like you want to improve the working day for your own people, but you need to recognise that what you are aiming for is already well below the standard.
What’s racist about the assumption? The vast majority of shootings in the us are by white men, and at a group celebrating a black event the number goes up. The main group of people doing mass shootings in the us is white males at 55%, 87 out of 159:

You people are so obsessed with attention and false happiness. The server doesn’t care about you they have to beg and grind to get to minimum wage. It’s one step above indentured servitude.
You’re more frustrated at people that don’t leave tips over the fact you are seen as less than a person by the owners that pay a pitiful wage. Look to the people that came before you, look up Mario Savio.

Doesn’t Texas and possibly other places deal with blackouts on an annual basis? The ‘leader’ of the ‘free world’.

Wrapping in plastic is never an authors choice, and I fully support you avoiding a place that does that.
Not everyone can spend the big money for cons, some will grab what is the most affordable. Hopefully that means a local shop without that wrap, but someone reading any way they can is the most important start.
