My only solace is that conservatives are generally stupid. Even their most intelligent “thought leaders” are charlatans for the most part, and their smartest (relatively speaking, of course) politicians are all hubristic narcissists.
They’ll toe the line just right for some time, get cocky and do something so outrageous that turns the slow boiling frog pot into an instant rolling boil causing them to jump the fuck out. But that could take 30 years, who knows.
Despite that, they have done and continue to do serious damage. First abortion (really women’s health care), now in Alabama and likely others, embryos are considered children.
