Hey guys, things have been crazy around these parts and I haven’t been able to post as frequently as before. This is a great community that doesn’t need a lot of content moderation, but I am reaching out to see if there is any interest for a new mod that will be engaged and inspire more conversation on the subject of movies that we all love. I wish I could be that person but life and my other modding duties have stretched me pretty thin and I’d love to have some help since the exit of our other mods. Please let me know if you are interested.

We have regular pinned posts and movie-specific discussion threads over there, and that community has been more active than this one lately, be it weekly or monthly (1.54k vs 1.32k and 2.92k vs 2.51k).
The moderation team has several people, including movie enthusiasts who post there regularly. We had our first AMA a while ago a few weeks ago: https://lemm.ee/post/31335226
And if people ask why we wanted to have a community on another instance than Lemmy.world, the large majority of active communities are already on LW (https://lemmyverse.net/communities?order=active), it seems better to spread communities a bit.
