Even 538 gives it a poor grade (doesn’t even make it to the top 275) https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/pollster-ratings/
minus-squareOptional@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·4 months agoBecause rawstory - like all ad-supported media - wants money. It’s a horse race bonanza. Polls released in late July or early August have offered some . . . It was published August 1. What “early August” poll are they referencing? Apparently one that happened within 12 hours of the story?

minus-squareMaggoty@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·4 months agoYeah. The literal second a poll is released it’s getting analyzed. Then it’s weird to read about later the same day because the stories have to be written to make sense a year from now.
minus-squareMaggoty@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·4 months agoWhat do you doubt? That style guides force a past tense on news articles? Or that polls are pretty immediately getting analyzed when they’re released?
