From cammer:

Just happened to me. Am I even the idiot, the light jumps from green to red (no yellow) when I was 10ft away from the crossing?

Yeah that’s scary. I can’t see yellow, and even if, the timing is off. The cross traffic started way early. (Compared to your light)

If it hadnt been that car, it could have been that runner. Great you had it on camera.

You’re right on both counts, there doesn’t seem to be yellow, and the lights don’t seem to match with those from cross traffic

    I can’t see much stupid mobile…

But if you can I’d bring this up to your insurance company. They are not going to help you. But they can go after the city if there is something wrong with those lights.

It looks like the other side went green before yours even went red.

    Very weird

On mobile, and it’s really hard to tell, but it looks to me like the sunlight was behind you and hitting the signal in such a way as to cause glare on the green bulbs while washing out the light from the red ones. It seemed to change quickly because your angle changed and the light was no longer reflecting the same way.

Is this this US? These roads are so scary. It look like a Autobahn, but with red lights and cars crossing your road. I would probably treat every intersection as a “give way” irrespective of green lights. (Then I would get shot or ran over by some monster-truck, probably)
