We’re still far away from last of us territory because cordyceps targets ants, and we’re a bit different.
It’s a huge issue for hospitals though. If a hospital was to become infected with a deadly fungus, best course of action is probably to burn it down. Seriously though, the fumigation needed would completely close the hospital for a while.
That’s not really a concern. Cordyceps can’t survive in humans. We’re too warm.
