The Lever reported Tuesday that USAID’s inspector general was in the process of investigating its own public-private partnership between Musk’s Starlink and the Ukrainian government at the time that the billionaire’s DOGE crippled the agency. Publicly available information about that probe is still online. An announcement from last May reads: “The USAID Office of Inspector General, Inspections and Evaluations Division, is initiating an inspection of USAID’s oversight of Starlink satellite terminals provided to the Government of Ukraine. Our objectives are to determine how (1) the Government of Ukraine used the USAID-provided Starlink terminals, and (2) USAID monitored the Government of Ukraine’s use of USAID-provided Starlink terminals.”

That would explain why he wanted to “feed it into the woodchipper.”

And that trump’s team of minions legally cheated and then probably did some fuckery behind the scenes. It’s not black and white. He was very confident he was going to win months before the election and Biden showing how old he is.

Yeah, unfortunately you absolutely need it now. The trolls aren’t as bad as the old place, but they’re still here and they’re smarter.

      I mean, yeah, kinda.

Three kinds of people exist in the USA. People who opposed this. People who agreed with this. People who didn’t care enough to oppose it. (Not counting the ones who can’t vote due to age, not being a citizen, etc).

There’s ~75 million in the first group, and everyone else falls in one of the other 2.

That’s factually inaccurate. Most states are not swing states, and it’s incredibly unlikely for them to flip in a given election. In those states, there’s no point in voting for Harris or Trump, because the winner is already essentially decided before the election even happens. In those states, it’s arguably a better idea to support a third party, because supporting one of the two candidates won’t change the election anyway, so you might as well vote your conscience.

For those keeping score at home that’s 265 million that did not oppose this. My country is so gross. I’m sorry world.
