Started up a JRPG which has been in my backlog literally since I got my PS4 about five years ago, being one of the very first games I bought for it: Omega Quintet.

It’s an Idea Factory/Compile Heart game, perhaps best known for the Neptunia franchise, so I think I have an idea of what to expect as far as level design, characterization, and VN elements go.

What got me interested in Omega Quintet in the first place is that it’s a JRPG where the characters are an idol group. And as idols often do, they are tasked with saving the world from an evil force. :akko_fingerguns:

I have some experience with this premise from a couple of anime series: AKB0048 (which was way better than it needed to be, to my delight) and iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia (which sadly fell short for me), so I’m hoping Omega Quintet is fun as well.

And apparently there’s a feature in Omega Quintet where you can choreograph stage performances for the idol group, so I’m looking forward to discovering that at some point.
