The US Census Bureau projected world population of 8,092,034,511 on January 1, 2025, fairly close enough yo their December comment. 40% would be 3,236,813,804 people. Compared to 15 people. https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2024/population-new-years-day.html For a different source, the United Nations Population Division also does similar estimates and had a similar number.
