        The eligibility reasons to postal vote or vote early are not strictly enforced.

        You could say you’re travelling on May 3rd (even though you don’t have firm plans to do so just yet…) you would be far from the only one making the same claim.

        You don’t need to provide proof.

        When I voted early last time, all they asked was, “Are you eligible to vote early?”

        I said yes and then they gave me the papers.

        Yeah, just rock up to a pre-poll place and say you’ll be travelling and they’ll let you. It’s more ‘preferred’ if you vote on election day, they won’t stop you voting early

        You can go vote early. I did mine yesterday and have been doing it for the last 3 elections.

        They’ll ask you if you meet the eligibility, just say yes and that’s it.

        If you need a reason just say you’re out of the state at that time.
