You won’t see me defending Israel. Ive spent a good chunk of my day condemning them. But those Hamas fighters didn’t have to mass murder people at a dance party. What they were doing may have been insensitive given the proximity to Gaza, but they are not responsible for the apartheid state of Israel or the disgusting actions of the IDF or Israeli police force. Their actions would be somewhat understandable if they had only taken hostages, which they also did do, but the indiscriminate murder of innocent people is exactly what we’re condemning Israel for. They didn’t have to murder those people.
