Though, tbh, anyone with a funny sounding name gets teased at school. It’s not just a migrant, nor what culture you’re from thing.
But the concerning thing is the apparent discrimination based on name in job applications and the workplace. Grow up, Australia!
Agreed. My name is as English as a king yet the school yard could still make fun of it somehow.
In the workplace is different though. There’s usually a bit of jest about someone having a funny sounding name but if someone isn’t comfortable then it needs to stop.
