Unfortunately about a third of Californians would say the solution is a mass culling of the homeless. The homeless have been so dehumanized that their are more people in favor of extermination them than their are people who support universal public housing.

Most of the politically engaged are still “third way” neoliberals who think Socdems are utopians. Though most people are just utterly done with our neoliberal politics and don’t engage at all. We’ve got a governor’s race upcoming and no one fucking cares besides the libs screeching about the chance of a Republican coming to power to browbeat leftists into voting for their billionaire zionist candidate.

The camdidate Katie porter (a lib zionist socdem) was abusive too her staff and former partner apparently. The neolibs are using as an excuse to not vote for her in favor of eitheir a billionaire (whose more 100x more materially destructive by nature of his very existence) completing as a progressive or an outright zionist neolib (somehow domestic abuse is more repugnant than supporting the extermination of Palestinians to neolibs, not even surprised tbh).

This isn’t me trying to hold water for Porter, again she’s a lib-zionist opportunist However let me take off the ML hat for a moment and delve into the muk of liberal electoral politics. Porter is by every measure the superior candidate by policy and moral consistency among the dems. It’s utterly absurd to say her abusive behavior is in anyway equal to an explicit genocide apologist and the personified source of California’s affordability crisis. That’s not even delving into their actual policies.

Somehow, Neolibs always arrive at the conclusion that even socdem policies are too extreme and will bankrupt the state, WHEN THE CURRENT NEOLIB ALREADY DID THAT! Their explanation as to why is because Newsome was too leftist. The millionaire gas lobby stooge is by some metric a centrist between the progressive and neolib sections of the Democratic party.

It’s somehow the fault of progressives (fucking socdems mind you) for our current crisis. These people are deeply ideological but refuse to admit it, claiming that purity testing leftists are the source of all our woes.

Putting back my ML hat, I’ll dutifully be ignoring whatever electoral circus is occurring within the DNC, I will instead be sending my fuck you letter innthe form of voting for the PSL Governor candidate. If only to help the burgeoning socialist moment to account for their growth.
