I don’t know that any of that is relevant to explain this except to confirm that they’re directly mixed with characters from the show (bad guys).

There was an episode where Homer found his face on laundry detergent or something, turns out it was a combination of a fish and a light bulb through a corporate merger, in Japan. One of the classic Simpsons episodes.
