Its common enough for a defendant everyone knew was guilty being hugged and shit by their attorney but I wonder if its documented or discussed at s higher level about the “genuine” tearful relieved verdicts

        People can cry from relief or grief of the situation. As the anticipation of a verdict is delivered grows, the cathartic moment does also. Its nothing to do with who is right or wrong.

          And conversely, someone who, either through general disposition, trauma, or other causes, shows little emotion at a verdict doesn’t somehow deserve that verdict less because of a limited reaction.
