I don’t want to take anyone’s side here, but there is a big gap between “3 posts in 11 months” and “100 posts per day”. Maybe if you (and others) stepped up and made the effort to post once every day to a niche community you like, then there would be less of an incentive for sanitation to have automated posting tools?
Lemmy is doing fine. There’s a substantial amount of content and most of it is decent. I don’t feel a need to inflate it by spending my time posting articles. I do feel a need to occasionally point out how obnoxious it is to see the same person spamming a dozen articles that they didn’t actually read one after another.
It does not contribute to making Lemmy any better. It does contribute to their weird little ego fixation with the idea that spamming random shit is some sort of achievement.
