If you aren’t adding acid to your tuna then you are messing up.
If you haven’t tried mayo as your bread browning agent you are screwing up. I rejected it at first but after trying it there is no doubt.

In a tuna melt you need the dryness. You can’t have any juice soaking through your bread. I go so far as to dry the pepperoncinis after I mince them, pressing them with a paper towel.
It’s the meat itself. Tuna is generally quite low in fat. Salmon is rich in essential n-3 EPA and DHA, plus tuna has heavy metal issues, which is great musically but not dietarily.
We were recently gifted a large amount of tuna because someone who traps cats bought tuna as bait but didn’t get pop tops. I make sure to space my tuna consumption out so it’ll probably take us a year to get through this stash.
I do not put any limits on my music metal intake. But as a general rule I don’t listen to much that came out after The Black album by Metallica. It wasn’t just a major downshift in quality for Metallica but metal as a whole degraded after that.
Tuna really isn’t the best bait for cats. I like something pungent like chicken liver. I used to feed stray cats. This one had no eye balls. Midges crawling in it’s eye sockets… Turned my stomach a bit. Wanna see? I got pictures. I called him buddy. I would pet the poor kitty while it enjoyed some nice wet food.
I’ll skip the pictures of the disabled cat. But I understand the need to document that.
For my personal cats, I avoid fish in any form because it can cause health issues. But when I’m trying to trap cats, fish offers an irresistible smell that draws them in and increases the chance of a catch. Relevant study.
