I’ve started calling Kurdistan “Kurdish Israel” to the hatred of many reddit leftists. I’ve said before, the only place that Kurdistan makes sense to be carved out from is Türkiye, they’re a semi-periphery country (honestly they’re arguably an imperial core country, but i think thats up for debate) that is responsible for a large amount of the crimes committed against Kurds, and are currently the biggest barrier to the Kurdish people. Iraq, Iran, and Syria, are all global south countries that were formerly colonized, fracturing them does not aid the region’s working class against fighting the imperialists who once colonized them.

❗️Israeli occupation forces gun down Palestinian man in southern Gaza
Israeli occupation forces shot and killed 29-year-old Ibrahim Mohammed Kawara, south of Khan Yunis, marking another deadly violation of the so-called ‘ceasefire’ agreement.
While the Israeli military did not identify Kawara by name, it claimed troops opened fire after an individual allegedly crossed the disputed boundary known as the Yellow Line and posed an immediate threat. Medical personnel subsequently recovered Kawara’s body and transferred it to the Nasser Medical Complex.
The incident unfolds as Israeli military control over the besieged enclave has expanded from 53 percent to approximately 70 percent since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
