Who the heck calls it statues? Never heard it called that once.
Me neither. I’ve always known it as “Red Light, Green Light”, which I think is the most common name in the US. I knew it was played elsewhere but I didn’t know it had so many names.

Please do if you feel so inclined. On the rare occasion I actually post something, I like to stick to the smaller comms. I feel compelled to respond to every comment and posts that get a lot of traffic make me feel stressed.

It is a pleasure. I like being able to talk with, potentially, anyone on the planet who cares to talk back. Just not all at once.
It’s become remarkably everyday now, but occasionally I’ll think back to the wonder I felt, first realizing what the internet was, and what it could be. That I could theoretically talk to anyone on the planet in real time. It was the kind of realization that feels heady in scope, and it still kind of does. I think everyone should have unfettered access to the internet for a lot of high-minded, equality- and justice-oriented reasons as well, but part of it is self-interested. There are a lot of cool people out there in the world, and I’d like to shoot the breeze with all of them.
I came to see if this was red light green light.
The article fails to mention any country where it’s called ‘Statues’.
The page needs a lot of love, for sure. I didn’t even notice that, but I noticed most of the “other names” are unsourced as well.
Unfortunately my lack of expertise on the subject is the very thing that drew me to this page in the first place :/
