    I think campaign consultants are the root of this problem, at least in the Democratic party. When you have a campaign run like El Sayed’s, where no corporate or PAC money is accepted, then you need to knock on doors, and talk to people. Traditional campaigns pay millions to the consultants who then spend your war chest on legacy media ad buys, which they get a commission on.

    This is one major reason why El Sayed, Mamdani, et al, are such a threat to both parties and also why legacy media has targeted Hasan Piker. They are just as effective, if not more effective, without giving special interests(capital) power over them.

    We’re not in a left/right struggle as much as a top/bottom struggle.
