Whoever thought this “is what House deserves” did not understand the character at all.
So long as he got to “solve the puzzle”, he would not care much afterwards, relatively speaking.
It would definitely not punish him. Killing the patient before being able to diagnose & cure them, that would for instance.
I think if you want to torture him, let him treat someone, and don’t let him know if he was right or not.
Just take new poisons, viruses or whatever every time your condition improves. Then you’ll be in control of the edging (so to say), and therefore also the final denial/ruin.
I’d probably start by asking why he’s kneeling straddling my chest like a sleep paralysis demon
Ask to transfer another hospital several zip codes away where they use modern differential diagnosis methods, respect informed consent rules, and follow real world standards of care.
Of course, I do live in the USA, so the health insurance rep will just laugh at me nonstop until I hang up the phone.
USA accurate. Even more so - healthcare insurance picks your surgery center and specialists; even if it is 100+ miles from your home. Even if both are already IN your hometown. Even if you have used the local ones in the recent past. If insurance says the long distance ones are $1 cheaper to use, you are doing a 200 mile roundtrip for an eye checkup.
Bitch if you stand over me drinking a coffee you better have one for me.
House: You just came back from a diabetic coma. I’m finishing up the caramel mocha latte you were clutching.
Pathetic. - House after you’ve killed yourself, probably.
Shit, not again.
Did they give me syphilis?
Honestly best thing to do is argue with House then call a malpractice lawyer. You can have your cake of being cured and not pay for it when the hospital finds out what he did.
