🇸🇾☦️ Update: initial reports state this was a Greek Orthodox Church.

Note: Hama is the seat of the Antiochian/Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Hama, whose cathedral is St. George, and that church was itself attacked by gunmen in December 2024.

    🇸🇾🔥 Protests Escalate in Syria

Large crowds have taken to the streets in Maarrat al-Numan, with protesters blocking the Aleppo–Damascus highway as demonstrations over the Al-Sharaa government’s latest fuel-price increases grow increasingly confrontational.

Diesel prices jumped 40% overnight, while gasoline rose by roughly 26–28%. The increases are already feeding through into transportation and food costs, adding further pressure to already strained household budgets.

What began as anger over fuel prices is rapidly spilling into broader unrest.

    — 🇸🇦/🇾🇪 Latest updated map of the southern Taizz front:

Ansarallah (the Houthis) have captured and held on to the villages of Al-Ahraz, Ghayl Bani Omar, and Al-Ajram. They are also pushing towards Bireen via Al-Akkad.

In some areas, Ansarallah forces are now only 3-4 kilometers away from the last remaining road into Taizz.

    — 🇸🇦/🇾🇪 NEW: Saudi Arabia bombed houses of the Subaiha tribe in Al-Mudarabah, southern Yemen, an area with no ongoing fighting

The airstrikes reportedly took place because the tribe complained about them being ‘thrown into the fire with no support’ on the Red Sea front.

🇮🇷🛸🇷🇺 IRAN ASKS RUSSIA FOR ITS ADVANCED GERAN DRONES, TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER COMES FULL CIRCLE

Iran has asked Moscow to supply its newest Russian-developed Geran attack drones for use against Israel and the United States, according to the Financial Times, citing Western security officials and a person close to the Kremlin. It remains unclear whether Russia has agreed to the latest request.

Iran originally supplied Russia with the Shahed technology. Russia then spent four years combat-testing, modifying and mass-producing the platform in Ukraine and Tehran now reportedly wants Russia’s evolved versions back.

The latest jet-powered Geran variants are faster, carry larger warheads and incorporate improved targeting, communications and resistance to electronic warfare. Russia’s adaptation of the Iranian design has become so extensive that CSIS recently concluded that Russia has effectively mastered the platform through continuous battlefield-driven development.

Another example of resistance supportive telegram channels using untrustworthy Western sources to manifest reality. I wouldn’t be surprised about this outcome, but if you’re going to simply use the FT as evidence, you may as well just speculate.

—❗️🇸🇦/🇾🇪 NEW: Sources on the ground report heavy fighting and intense airstrikes by the Saudi coalition against Ansarallah forces in the recently liberated Murad and Dhubab

It is not unthinkable that Ansarallah may be forced to carry out some partial withdrawals in the near future, although the defensive lines still remain intact at the time that this is being posted.

Ansarallah is engaging in very fierce clashes. They’re not giving up on their positions. But Saudi strikes are increasingly intense.

    — 🇸🇦/🇾🇪 NEW: Footage shows forces of the Southern Giants Brigades (PLC) at coordinates 12.8382884, 43.5957332 about 20 kilometers away from Dhubab

They have managed to destroy a vehicle belonging to Ansarallah, but this footage suggests that PLC forces are still far away from capturing any strategic positions in the area.

For example, the Omari Camp is visible far in the background, which is one of Ansarallah’s current defensive positions.

—❗️🇸🇦/🇾🇪 NEW: Ansarallah (the Houthis) have made a breakthrough south west of Taizz

They have entered the Bani Umar valley, and captured Al-Ahraz and Al-Ajram villages.

If the push continues, the Houthis will reach the critical Al-Safiya intersection, cutting off the last remaining road to Taizz city.

#NothernSyria: Fire in #Kobani prison kills 9 inmates, injures dozens, random arrests of civilians in Kobani

    Expand

A fire broke out in Kobani Central Prison on the evening of yesterday, September 11, 2026, located in the Kurdish-majority city of Kobani, after the terrorist General Security militias affiliated with the Damascus government surrounded the prison, following protests that broke out in the city denouncing the brutal killing of a young Kurdish man by terrorists from the Baggara tribe.

A fire broke out in the prison, and the death toll from the fire that erupted inside the Kobani prison rose to 9 detainees who died, in addition to about 20 others injured with wounds and varying degrees of suffocation, while a number of the injured are still receiving treatment, amid fears the death toll could rise due to the severity of some injuries. The direct causes of the fire and its exact circumstances remain unclear so far, but the unprofessional media of the #STG rushed to blame the fire on the SDF administration, which dissolved itself hours after the incident, without any investigation!!

Related to this, the terrorist General Security militias deployed in Kobani following the protests and tensions, chanting Islamic slogans and racist insults, in addition to carrying out a campaign of random arrests and intimidating civilians in the city of Kobani yesterday evening.

A Testimony from a survivor of the Kobani prison fire and he says that members of the HTS-led General Security militia left them to burn and refused to open the doors, contradicting the claims of the Damascus regime (alJolani regime) and Charles Lister.

Ali Rameh Akkari, an 18-year-old high school senior from Salhab in the western Hama countryside in western Syria and a member of the Alawite community, has been held in detention for nine months, since December 11, 2025, without access to legal counsel or any court appearance.

He was arrested for refusing to raise the new Syrian flag at his school, after which he was transferred to the “Counterterrorism” Branch in Hama. His fate remains unknown to this day.

Ali Akkari is one of thousands of prisoners of conscience held under al-Jolani’s Syria, a government that continues to enjoy the backing of Western politicians.
