For sure, for sure, but that’s a little beside the point I’m trying to make in this comment in particular. In theory a band that used AI to make album art is making money from their art, the music, technically more because they aren’t spending that money on someone else’s art, which is the graphic art or photography.
And the filmmaker using AI for scoring might be making money from their art, the filmmaking, but doesn’t have to pay a composer or musicians.
The problem is that each of them individually might think this is great, their own art just got easier and cheaper to make, but in doing so at large, the entire ecosystem blows apart 😅
