Bruh, I already wasn’t gonna buy another one of your Nvidia cards, in no small part because of what you’ve done to ruin the hobby of PC building. You don’t have to keep trying to convince me to stay away.
Unfortunately, they’ve already written all of us out of the equation. If they’re supplying everything for AI, and AI replaces all of us, they still are getting just as much or more business than they were before.
Tbh, I don’t see replacement of people in general as a feasible goal for two reasons:
- AI is hemorrhaging money. It eventually needs to make money for its investors, and so subscription costs will rise for businesses. Businesses themselves are not seeing a meaningful ROI, so an unknown number will inevitably drop out entirely, leading to further price hikes.
- AI needs human input to remain useful. It has no awareness of reality, and you can’t just play “pass the hallucination” between models.
Your argument has merit, but that won’t stop them trying.
100% agree, in no small part because the billionaires controlling things need to keep up the appearance of progress as long as possible. “Fake it 'til you make it,” as they say.
Literally the only money it generates thats worth anything is the autonomous kill chains they set up in Gaza, the monitoring of Palestinians, and even us citizens with the same exact systems.
Fucking the fisherman that we have been killing, thats Claude or grok hallucinating and saying its filled with guns and drugs, abd from start to finish launching missiles at them. Theres maybe one dumb guy that pushes the big red button to confirm it, but he has a sycophantic Ai agent telling him if he doesnt hit the button his kids in Florida are gonna turn trans.
It doesnt need to be profitable if it breaks the economy and everyone hates it. Now its job is to fill up all the beds ICE are creating buying out all the old prisons in the united States like their operation needs to expand infinitely.
We are already probably domestic terrorists for being on the fediverse and even discussing this.
