Sounds like they care more about her trying to learn who is physically abusing her son than stopping the abuse.
Has she considered filing charges against the school for assault? If it wasn’t a teacher or someone employed by the school, let them prove that in court. It happened in their custody and is their responsibility either way. Not explaining the bruising is a huge red flag. Could be a faculty member. Or it could be a kid whose last name is on the football pitch or a building. Either way, they’re protecting the abuser.

So I’m guessing, “no.”
