Honest answer as someone who casually follows this? It’s weird and I imagine there is a diagnosed or undiagnosed mental illness at play.
I’m naturally a huge yapper and use Lemmy almost like a public diary. That tends to spark a lot of discourse about me, which draws in a lot of toxicity. When it gets to be too much, I feel the need to delete everything, take a break, and start fresh. (For the record, I’ve never been banned, not even from a single community, let alone an instance, lol.)
