  • you can thank State Street, Blackrock and Vanguard for buying up the American dream to rent it to you forever. Democrats are trying to limit this by stopping hedge funds from buying homes, which are for families.

When do we start to see corporate assassinations? At what point do we see people start to fight back? We are slowly slipping into full on ‘subscription’ based lives. They are stealing our children’s future away, one home at a time. Essentially turning our economy into slavery 2.0

Because of the extreme prices and demand for homes, my apartment rent went up 24% in October. They are literally taking half my income now. Half my life belongs to this one multi-billion dollar corporation now. The other half goes to my other living expenses. I make double the average American and I am basically a slave already

It’s 2030, you own nothing and you are happy

  • I’ve been dreaming of a future where Uber, DoorDash, etc are devoid of any corporate organization. Developers, drivers and support staff are the only human workers, the rest is organized by a complex, but open source, program.

No investors, no shareholders, every cent goes to the workers. Wages are higher in prices are lower because we aren’t paying five VPs a million dollars a year or sending all our profits to the shareholders.

I think advances in computing and AI could actually make this possible. If only greed didn’t run the world it might be doable

I want free market capitalism that works for us. What we have now if slavery with extra steps

  • The only people not thinking about money are those who are privileged by wealth.

Some of us paid for our own school, car, etc. some had a $100k head start. Willing to bet you are in that second group.

If people care about these things why are so few people talking about it? Why are we whining about flavors and pop stars so much instead?

It’s cool that you don’t have to worry about the future, but some of us want our children to not be slaves

  • They have freedom to do as they please, but whining about it does about as much as whining about blueberry flavor.

We aren’t saying you can’t be pissed, we are saying it is completely stupid that you are pissed and there is nothing you can do. There are far more things to be worried about in this country. We are eating ourselves alive, life expectancy is dropping, suicide rate and overdose rate is climbing, our jobs are being given to foreign countries and robots, no one owns anything anymore.

I’m starting to believe people whine about these pointless things in order to avoid confronting the more complicated and deeply rooted issues we have.
