PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•PC Gamers Abandoning Windows 11 for Linux with Higher FPS & Fewer InterruptionsEnglish
1·22 days agoI don’t think i was very clear. What i meant to say is that the type of people to find and engage in niche online communities that relate to tech are going to be significantly more likely to use an operating system different than the average person, thus Lemmy users, who often advocate for freer consumer technology as the existence of this platform is mostly a protest against major social media sites. These consumer freedom tech communities will always be biased towards Linux and could create circlejerks where we convince eachother we are on the right side of things. Last asterisk, i know most users here are still windows or mac users. But instead of Linux users being 2% of the community like in the real world, we could be 25% instead, thus greatly exaggerating real life support.
Not necessarily blackmailed. Just bribed.

62·1 month agoI feel like if you made a Venn diagram between Lemmy users and Linux users, it would just be a circle. I say this as also a Linux enjoyer.

so what you’re saying is that there’s still a chance… (tho with the whole rent-a-pc and cloud gaming thing, it might forever be out of reach this time)
