I grew up in a deeply red part of the country, and if you don’t already know, I assure you that there are many conservatives that think rape is, and should be, part of the “correctional” prison complex. That if you commit a crime, even something relatively minor, if you don’t go to get prison and get raped, well, then, they personally feel you cheated or that the system isn’t working quite properly. Because prison is supposed to be punishment, and obviously, that means rape, I guess. And other forms of violence.

Again, that’s for male cishet prisoners. Unless you are “manly” enough to avoid it, I guess. Anyone else - they deserve it.
