I don’t use Brave, but I did read that post because I am interested in how they are handling this. It’s worth reading for that.

Filens Android app has trackers from Google and Sentry.
They went from no trackers, to Matomo (that was not announced in their change log), then to Google and Sentry.
3 year old account, no comments, only post is this one.
Who is upvoting this garbage?
Usually before it starts by not being able to see they are interested in me.
Could I have this on a notarized, laminated card to keep in my pocket? Otherwise I’ll just do the same thing I always do.
That is a lot of it, but there are cultural factors too. For traditional weddings in much of Asia you drink local palm/rice/whatever wine. Drinking is often competitive, you keep your empties in front of you on the table.
Pick a random country in Asia and search ‘methanol poisoning’ here’s Cambodia, the number of results is shocking. This has made international news because of the death toll, not because it’s an unusual occurrence.

Who doesn’t want to see the reigning Miss America George Santos?
OP did not elaborate on their issues. You said it creates a whole slew of issues, I asked what they were.
No need for a strawman here. What are the issues?
What are the issues? Both my browsers have it disabled.
Because it’s a privacy and security risk? Because it reduces fingerprinting?
How do they look a few hours after the sun goes down? If it’s just heat stress, the leaves will uncurl once it cools off.
Often, curling up is heat stress, curling down is too much water. That is not a hard and fast rule though, a bunch of other things can cause those conditions.
If that’s what you want go for it. Screen addiction is definitely a thing.
Swappable battery is nice, though you might not need it. Battery is small but the chip and screen aren’t really doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Reparability is still TBC
That link doesn’t seem to talk about privacy, it does say it is based on Android 8.1 though.
There are some things I don’t understand about this phone. Why does it need 6 GB of ram? Why a modern chip set? Albeit low end. It seems odd. I have an iPhone 5s that I use everyday for reading online, checking the weather, etc. 1 GB and an 11 year old chip work fine, and it has more functions than this phone. Maybe it is because of 5g and NFC?
Anyway, give us an update when you get it.
It’s more to carry but you could get a Nokia and a hotspot device for way less if that was what you needed. And again you could buy those things now, they exist.
I did this until recently, monochrome Nokia and a hotspot for when I needed connectivity for my work laptop. I changed when I needed to do site surveys more frequently, a tablet with a Sim made much more sense.
Gunslinger Barbie did one too
Why not a Punkt for less money? Or a Nokia for a lot less money.
I really don’t get these things. They say nothing about security, privacy, or updates on their site.
You want basic functionality for cheap, that’s the updated Nokia from 20 years ago. You want a decent modern phone with security, privacy, updates, and black and white icons? Get a Pixel, put GrapheneOS on it and download Articons.
This thing is a mashup of a candy bar phone and a 15 year old iPod, but unlike those things you can’t actually buy one, you need to prefund the company and wait another 7 months.
Yeah, she seems good, and the article backs her up. Her previous testimony was ’ here’s what’s happening, here’s what could happen’ and it was ignored. Then the chief did the condoleeza rice ’ no one could have predicted this’.
But, what if you wanted to see the Georgian flag without clicking the article?
