No different to ovens then
Sometimes you want to cook things at a different temperature which is where I find the air fryer comes in handy. Also for pretty small quantities the air fryer is essentially just a mini oven that heats up quickly.
If you have a massive kitchen with multiple ovens then sure the air fryer isn’t overly necessary, but my kitchen is tiny and its the only realistic way to have multiple ovens - the air fryer has 2 compartments with a removable divider so I can use it as 1 small or 2 tiny ovens.

Although most of us are stagnating on GDP/capita rather than GDP as a whole and prop up the GDP with immigration.

What is a technology that was nearly perfect upon conception?English1·22 hours agoI looked at prices for internal hubs with a decent number of gears, ahh fuck that! Its more than half the cost of my entire bike.
Think I will stick with what I have now then, I get the full gear range at like a tenth of the cost. Learning to do maintenance on it sometime might be a good idea though.

Presumably even more so if you are someone that benefits from a lower maintenance option. I use my bike multiple times a week, cleaning it after every use is just impractical and I often go out when it’s raining.

Sure I can see it working on a small dog but not really had a problem with them. At least rabies isn’t a problem here I suppose.
If her baby is in the placenta you have some bigger problems than just needing paracetamol

Bike locks are pretty good clubs though. But I have had more problems with dogs chasing me on my bike than from angry drivers. Sure I could stomp a poodle, but wtf do you do with a fighting dog?

What is a technology that was nearly perfect upon conception?English2·2 days agoI have a zippo, I like that it’s easy to pour in liquid fuel and they are somewhat wind resistant but the fuel does evaporate away over time. I keep it in a plastic bag which does slow the rate of fuel evaporation though.
Not sure what cheaper fuels could work well in it, that would reduce the cost of fuel that just evaporates then and I don’t use it that often so I suspect more is lost to evaporation than usage.

Also not really sure how I could fit one myself. Maybe some day though, I think some can manage quite a few gears.
Fine with a chain though, mine is wax instead of oil lubricated.
I think they mostly mixed into the native population after a while though. At least in Europe. Australia should probably have the same problem.
I wonder if it’s because of what Americans did to the native population.
Why can’t I select multiple?

Korhaka@sopuli.xyzto Science Memes@mander.xyz•i enjoy high fructose corn syrup tooEnglish4·2 days agoYeah, I pick some every year. Also cherry plums grow quite a bit near me, along with some apple trees and loads of sloes.
Limited space and a saucepan is just fine for rice. I generally avoid over specialised cooking tools and go for more generic equipment. Like I also don’t own a waffle iron or sandwich toaster.
