If full time Walmart employees need government assistance programs to afford food and pay their rent, is it not Walmart who is leaning on government assistance?

2·4 days agoThis is the story I’ve seen garner the most attention, and it appears to almost entirely signal that flock is alone is on the chopping block.

16·4 days agoReplacing Flock cameras with Axon cameras is not the way. Don’t let them get away with pretending it’s all about Flock.
The key is to slowly reclaim higher temperatures. I’ve been able to get mine back up to 470 with acceptably low smoke. One day I’ll be able to do a 500 degree pizza. (F obviously)
It’s from a low budget film called the alien factor. Supposed to be an insectoid creature.

1·5 days agoAngles where the nostrils are visible certainly seem wrought with danger for line artists. Or maybe it’s just the topic and how desperate people are to distract.

1·5 days agoThe eagerness from bad actors to assume these depictions are about Jews broadly warrants some level of specificity in symbolism. It is the most direct symbol of Israel, not the star of David. It is the most direct symbol of Nazi Germany, not the Buddhist swastika.

5·5 days agoI haven’t found any “original” of this image. However, it was seemingly drawn by Carlos Latuff. The nose trope is not uniform across his work, nor is it only depicting jews this way.
Basically the same image created a year after this one went viral and presumably by the same artist.

The Korean “Lebanon” on the victim is an edit spread among Koreans discussing the war which is where it went viral and so explains why it’s otherwise difficult to find… I haven’t found any earlier (july 2016), but it’s confirmed non original as intended, which is obvious since Carlos is Brazilian.

You’re obviously going to have doubts about the validity of your feelings under a roof with that much ignorance. People can be dismissive for many reasons, but I think language can sometimes be important. If you don’t exude confidence it tends to be treated as affirmation of your views not mattering.
If you state plainly that you’re upset, you’d like some of their time, advice, and attention, and you still receive this type of response, it’s reasonable to write them off and lean on friends instead. Highly recommend therapy.
This loophole will be corrected before anything JP Morgan currently gets away with a fine on.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Can your ISP see a spike in your internet usage even if you are using a VPN?
2·6 days agoYes. VPN still uses your data, more of it in fact because encrypted secure tunnel files are generally larger than the original data and also cached data on the ISP network are no longer called, so more goes to the greater internet.

I feel like this whole article is written as if they got an interview with Hasan Piker, but they’re posing his response stream content to others as if they’re comments to the story. They also weirdly claim he’s worried about his stream revenue going down, when he’s never indicated this at all, just that it might.
I legit think Piker is what Jeffries and Kushner discussed.

Makes sense, she is incredibly Islamophobic, antisemetic, and above all, a slave to the Ellisons. Paying their fair share as the richest people in America would be unreasonable to her.
