I’m trying to find a part-time job for that exact reason, but it’s really tough to find one. I mean, it’s tough to find a job in general at the moment, but the part-time requirement makes it even tougher. And like the other person said, it’s always a compromise between time and money, and not everybody can make such a compromise because they genuinely need a full-time salary.

That’s why Metallica put it in their song “Enter Sandman”, which Motörhead later covered (I’m only saying that because I like the Motorhead version better)
Isn’t that a thing in English, too?
Now I lay me down to sleep and pray the Lord my soul to keep,
And if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.Still pretty messed up.

6·5 months agoI bet this looks absolutely stunning when it’s really dark in the middle of the night. Imagine being completely drunk or high at 2am and you see this pull into the station. That’d be sick.
My father always uses paper towels to blow his nose and I don’t get how he does it. They’re so hard and rough on the skin!

3·7 months agoThank you! Yes, it looks like a lot of them have that face. It’s always cool to see the regional differences in tram design. The basic shape is always the same, of course, but some are more blocky, others have to fit different boarding platforms, and so on.

3·7 months agoI’ve seen a lot of trams with a front that extends all the way down to the rails, but this “fence” kind of thing looks interesting. I wonder why they chose to build it like that. Maybe the connector thingy to attach it to another tram is behind the fence and it’s supposed to protect the connector when not in use?
That’s weak. I always pull on the power cord until the plug comes out. That shuts it down in a second flat.

4·9 months agoThis looks so futuristic. The perfect lawn, the white, round-ish tram, and the neatly lined-up trees. I’d prefer to see more actual nature, wild flowers, bushes, etc, but it still looks cool.

There is a community for that kind of stuff if you’re into it - !hardwaregore@lemmy.world. It’s kinda inactive and only has a new post once every other month, but there’s a photo of basically the same thing done to an HDMI cable seven posts down.

3·1 year agoI wonder what was there first, the doors or the rail tracks. Did the people who live there have to replace their doors with narrower ones or turn one door into two doors, like the yellow one close to the camera? Did the construction workers measure how close they can get to the wall without crashing into any doors? And the same questions could be asked about the little balconies. Old places that constantly adapt to new technologies are really cool and very interesting, at least from the perspective of someone who’s never been there.

This is certified antique because Google used to give you decent results, maybe even some obscure but highly specialised website dedicated to nothing but your question. Nowadays, you’ll get so much AI slop that you might as well go back to the pre-internet days, ask your uncle, and just believe whatever misinformation he gives you.
