No, but everyone who has been responding have been really positive. Maybe I’ll take a swing at it
Yeah fair enough. I’m not super familiar with the genre, still learning, but I’ve gotten a ton of good feedback.
Thanks for explaining it. You and the other comment bpiqued my interest. Grateful.
Interesting. I wouldn’t have pictured platformers as having this much exploration. Thanks for taking the time. I’ll have to check it out.
Can anyone explain to someone who doesn’t get it? How can a platformer be this great? I’m obviously not a player who gravitates to platformers, but I’m just curious about all this attention.

I don’t think that someone is talking about using BTC or ETH. They’re literally unusable to make purchases (multiple minute settling times and the high costs you mentioned) but any other functional L1 would work. Algorand for examply has ~3second block times with instant finality and costs a fraction of a fraction of a cent to use the network. Those fees couple be subsidised they’re so low. They’re significantly lower than a rail like Visa or MasterCard. But you’re right, implementing it so anyone can easily use and access it is key.
Edited bad autocorrect

Ironic, but not wrong.
Don’t forget Michigan!!
Yeah, wrong thread somehow… not sure what happened

Dude absolutely. I accidently got cornered by it so I couldn’t progress till I beat trumpet dude due to how it would reload (assuming i’m thinking of the same guy). I probably fought that bastard 15 times before I beat it. I’ll say I REALLY like the game. It’s absolutely beautiful and i’m loving the slow release of the lore. Even the battles (that can be really frustrating) are great because you can get absolutely wrecked 10 times, but then get the timings down and absolutely dominate the bastard. It’s really simple, but also real rewarding, I find.

Probably, though also arguably dodging skill didn’t matter, because the comparison case was not dodging at all. It was my first time playing, but I can’t imagine scaling up the experience from there to some of the bosses I’ve fought since, all without dodge/parry.

I couldn’t come close to beating the first optional hand holding battle ( literally against a little girl) on standard. I can’t imagine how they beat the game without dodging and I can’t imagine it was fun.

Clearly bad faith? Curious what you mean.

Right, but that involves you holding the definition of bigotry as objective truth. You don’t think that anyone can have a good faith contrarian opinion to your values? I mean, life is complicated. People are complicated and come from a bunch of different communities or backgrounds. Do you think they should just bow down before your assessment, or do you think there should be some wiggle room to convince people of your ideas.

I mean, serious question. Is the goal to produce a pure echo chamber where no dissent arises? How far does this go. It seems like the end result of this is 5-10 large groups of peeps who have “aligned values” that can endlessly reinforce each other. I have a MAGA chud relative that spouts all kinds of nonsense. Is the best thing to literally exorcise this person from my life? I don’t know that a lot of identity driven silos is really all that healthy either.
Yes people should be safe, but that doesn’t necessarily imply that no one EVER disagrees with them does it?

I know 2 people, completely separate and accross the country from each other that have wrecked due to autopilot failures or errors or whatever. I know this is ultimately anecdotal, but it really seems like Tesla isn’t putting up pretty good numbers given my horizon.

You can always get a new Chromecast (we were forced to as the ancient bullet proof one told us to “fuck off, I want to die”). The new one has a remote control and apps, which I always thought were missing from the minimalist Chromecast family of products. So look at us, now we have a shitty roku when all we wanted was a device that I could send things to from my phone. Needed and wanted nothing more, but I got it. My tone is muddled here, so I’ll make it clear that it’s worse than it used to be, and I’m annoyed I was forced to pay to downgrade.
I kind of dove into this game with no expectations and I absolutely loved it. The nonsense of this world you’re diving into is so well done and weird in all the best ways. I loved it.
