Our country has almost no history of resistance aside from Abdelkrim Khattabi. And even the one hero that we have, Moroccans will betray him because their monarch is like a God to them.
Moroccans are useless.
As for why they returned, I have a feeling that some of them might have just been encouraged to participate because there was an internet sensation, and the fact that the Moroccan authorities were allowing it.
It might not be too dissimilar from how the Moroccan state organized their “green march” with the way that they were literally just loading people onto dumptrucks.
