You generally can’t pursue someone for debt after a bankruptcy declaration, depending on the country. So if you’re 25M in debt, you go bankrupt and they can’t chase you for any more. You lose all your current assets, but at least you can rebuild a life. Still, rough path to choose.

Your country’s definition of “of age” and my country’s definition of it is likely to differ. Easier to just implement a birthdate field than try to cover all the global legislations for these things. Especially when there are multiple conditions for “of age” in a single country. Old enough to vote? Old enough to drink? Those are often not the same.

Honestly, EU Inc, announced at the WEF, is one of the few good things to come out of that mess. A single framework for running a business in all EU countries, meaning expansion across borders will be simplified enormously. Should allow for easier growth in the future.
