Yep, it uses gel ink.

The Zebra G-450 is my daily driver. It feels sturdy, the click is satisfying, the ink basically can’t smudge, and it’s inexpensive. The refills are cheap too, and I’ve gone through maybe ten of them (writing lots of stuff in lab notebooks for work).
It doesn’t have that “buy one expensive thing that lasts forever” prestige because it’s not expensive. But I can’t wear this thing out.

The people that run that place are the biggest corporate brain-rot dumbasses in the world. The only way to climb into their ranks is to be enough of a waste of oxygen that you aren’t threatening.
I was doing a chemistry project. One aspiring corporate idiot couldn’t believe why my group didn’t want to “incorporate blockchain” into our project. He’s a VP now.
If they ever do anything right, it’s only because they’ve run out of dumb shit things to do first. I assume those poor young people they’ll be hiring will be laid off at the first whiff of the next corporate fad.

23·2 months agoIt is a mountain moving effort, though. Humans are deeply social creatures. Every thing that surrounds this guy has incentivized him to believe and behave in a way that keeps him part of the tribe. It’s safe to stay in line.
We do not know that he had no issue with the terrible things that happened. But we do know that the whole of American conservatism is set up to squash those doubts as soon as they come up. To keep everyone in line or face being ostracized.
He has not done enough, yet. But there is a huge difference between telling someone “yes, good, you’re starting to get it” and “fuck you, dude, you’re irredeemable.” There is certainly a core of shitheads that is irredeemable. But most people caught up in this think they’re doing the right thing.
Obviously they’re not doing the right thing. But they want to. Imposing day one ideological purity tests does not make it easier for them to change their minds about what the right thing is.

I agree, he’s a murderer and should be prosecuted to the greatest extent of the law. But representation is part of that law.
How are so many people in this thread saying “yes, Trump bad” but also “I want to do exactly what Trump does but to other people instead”

Taking the gloves off could mean a couple of things:
- putting lots of white people in camps / deporting them for disloyalty
- killing people and saying it’s because they deserve to die (as opposed to current false self-defense claims)
- replacing elected officials in ‘liberal’ areas by force / military style governance
Basically, they’re still at least pretending the rule of law sticks. They’re arguing against court orders, not ignoring them. Claiming legal reasons for killings (even if video evidence obviously doesn’t agree). Talking about how they have to get their act together for elections, not saying they’ll ignore them.
They desperately want it to be. The first time an ICE dipshit gets killed, they’ll feel like they can take the gloves off.

Fast enough for me, I guess. Faster than a ballpoint but not as fast as a rollerball. But a rollerball would turn what I do into an unintelligible smear, so I’m sticking with the gel.
