  • I’ll get around to posting a longer writeup on the evolution of the Shahed with better sources this one is mid. Worth pointing out the Shahed has also evolved down into a plywood-and-foam decoy carrying a tiny warhead the mini-Geran or whatever it’s called. So once radar is damaged, they can’t be distinguished from non-decoys & the heavier warheads get through. The Geran-2s have a sturdier carbon fiber frame anyways I’ll post a comparison of all their ranges etc

  • IRGC: We have no connection to attack on US Embassy in Riyadh – SABA [2026-04-04]

    Expand article

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed on Saturday that it had no connection to the attack that targeted the US Embassy in Riyadh, calling on countries in the region to be vigilant against what it described as American and Israeli attempts at incitement aimed at destabilizing West Asia.

The Public Relations Office of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in its 54th statement regarding Operation “True Promise 4,” stated that, according to the Wall Street Journal, the US Embassy in Riyadh was attacked. The statement, reported by Fars News Agency, strongly condemned any targeting of diplomatic missions.

It added that this incident “has absolutely no connection” to the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, asserting that such operations “are in line with the methods of the enemies in the region.”

The statement indicated that the Iranian armed forces had clearly defined their objectives and had issued prior warnings to neighboring and Islamic countries regarding the Zionist entity’s attempts to incite discord and destabilize the region.

The statement concluded by calling on West Asian countries to remain vigilant against American and Zionist incitement aimed at undermining the region’s security and stability.

On February 28, the US and the Zionist entity launched a new aggression against Iran, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, and other assets of the Iranian people.

In response to that aggression, Iran launched Operation “True Promise 4” against the Zionist entity and American bases in the region.
