Because the modularity allow building all type of alternative

An alternative just mean it has a similar concept. It doesn’t mean the alternative platform can’t be trash

I always welcome new alternatives. I am not happy with pixelfed . Instead of focusing on what it distinguish it from other platform and focus on the photography Dansup focuses instead on adding DM’s, stories, improving videos features etc that have nothing to do with photography and pictures

I do not mind the limits, but one post for the free tier is ridiculous, same as limiting how many people can follow you. It is pretty clear this is the typical strategy of making the free version so useless to try to make you pay for a higher tier, which generally backfires

I have lot many issues with the details

• The table that shows the difference shows different reach for different tiers, but I don’t see how it is possible without introducing an algorithm.

• The free version only gives you 1 post and 3 stories per day. The stories and posts have separate limits. I prefer a single limit for publications (stories + regular posts), since I don’t like stories and I do not use them.

• Limiting comments is ridiculous: text is light, and you only get 5 comments in free tier.

• The free version allows videos of only 10 seconds, which is completely useless, and the second tier is only 3 minutes."

This is another case of making free version completely

I fully agree

He should have called you with the phone

It is such an obvious lie

Actually, funny story, if you post more often actually people find it kind of irritating and they block you

You are right

they would probably still inject ton of ads from brands

You are concerned that you will make less money
