5 days agoWine translates windows syscalls to POSIX, macos is Unix based.
Wine doesnt need linux to run, and actually has official macos binaries on its gitlab.

1·3 months agoGood luck getting all Blender contributors to agree to a license change, very different circumstances to Open Source corporate software employing or restricting contributors to a CLA.
Hence why modern AOSP/RedHat/Ubuntu and the likes are not commonly considered libre, although they are GPL licensed open source software.
