Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Steam Machine price leak suggests it will cost as much as an iPhone
139·2 months agoHeads-up, the leak was from a non authorized retailer. So this has been confirmed to be more or less a retailers price speculation with added middle man mark-up. Take this leak for what it is, guesswork

1·2 months agoAs a software developer working closely with ux and designers I am forced to use tools such as figma and Miro. O can not tell how many times I have pasted sensitive shit into those work places because design software is mouse driven.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Video - I built an open source industrial robot controller | Excessive Overkill
6·6 months agoAnd here I am giving up on ny app ideas just after they are at an acceptable POC level.
Being the devil’s advocate here.
Do you guys really understand all of your tools down to the technical level? People can make good use of AI/LLM without the need of understanding NN, weights and biases. The same way as I make good use of a microwave or a rangefinder without understanding the deep levels of electromagnetic waves and so on. Fun meme tho.

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Tesla sales in Britain and Germany fall by more than 55% as China’s BYD soars
6·7 months agoThe OSs are android in the bottom yes. But not including google services. They are based on AOSP and that is no bad thing. If every car maker would have to develop their own kernel and OS we would have even less features and way more buggy systems. These companies just want to build cars, most of them are already dragging their feet when it comes to digitalisation and qualitative software experiences

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Tesla sales in Britain and Germany fall by more than 55% as China’s BYD soars
9·7 months agoThere are loads of good electric cars coming out right now, both with android and not, both chinease and European.
To list a few:
- Renault 5
- Lynk & co 02
- Ford Capri
- Polestar 4
- Volvo EX 30 & 90
- Volkswagen ID (multiple models)
- Zeekr 007
- Mercedes
The Volkswagen Group uses their in house infotainmentsystem developed by cariad, while most chinease brands uses their in house ones as well. Volvo, Polestar and Renault uses android.
Good luck with your purchase :D

Sweden has a hamburger chain named ‘Mr York’ and they are amazing!
My house was built as a summer cabin 1935. Then someone added a 2nd floor on top of it 1970. It then got winter isolated (for year round living) in 2006.
In sweden, so it can be pretty cold here

15·8 months agoIt is tracked, but valve probably has a threshold around 1-2% for when they start listing the os as a separe entry outside the ‘other’.
