Im guilty of this. As long as they are using Linux though it makes me happy.

Its good. The code is easy to read in my opinion.

You already mentioned it but Fairphone + TMobile/Mint is a decent combo. The phone itself is fine with /e/. The only downside is the pictures/videos are not the greatest. I would recommend getting an actual camera/something a bit better if that is important to you.
I get the same coverage as my old stock android phone so its not a huge difference. I got the Fairphone 4 because the parts are easier to come by. They update the software ever month or so. No problems so far.

Awesome!

Nice! lynx is fun.
I like using links2 + piefed cause theres a Low bandwidth mode that works well with it. You can actually see posts and stuff.

fixed.

Took a bit. For some reason yunohost didnt detect it was done and just stuck on the backup script part, but the logs said success piefed upgraded. So thats good.
Ive seen that happen a couple of times on apps. I think its a limitation on the yuno api responding back to a script.

Thanks!

I had to set up fail2ban + bot detection just to block the suckers. Its mostly amazon and openai for me and my small sites. Google/bing look at robots.txt and respect it. Openai in particular slams any site to the ground quick…
Some highlights:
There were a couple of flops too:

It doesn’t work with docker just FYI. Unless you do a bit of work. Everything runs bare metal. But yeah its just Debian server + LDAP + other great features. Ease of use.

Yeah that was one of the bigger issues before with the old yunohost script. You had yo do some work on the .env file if i recall. Yunohost now deals with subdomains.

Looks like it did for the first user. After that, its just normal signup.

Welp! I just found out how. Just click on the link after I post it :D.
https://piefed.chrisco.me/f/smallweb@piefed.social worked perfectly. Thats cool.

that would explain what im seeing on the logs :) Thanks. Ill do so.
How do we subscribe to Feeds such as: https://piefed.social/f/smallweb ? I tried ~smallweb@piefed.social but it cant find anything on the generic search tool.
Such an awesome system, thanks again.

nice! Coo.
Now I think I may get dedicated hardware…at some point. Looks like the infa is bouncing between peertube and piefed as the most cpu intensive apps. Which is fine,. its processing all the votes.

This is also a test to see if comments are coming in. I think they are?
Most text editors like vim/emacs/ect have ways of using a debugger.
I remember vim being a bit involved, but the performance was awesome.
But then if you put enough bells and whistles on text editors, do they become an ide?
