Doing alright, thanks. You?
Dieting is affecting my stomach, so I’m up at weird hours lately, but work is going alright.

We started listening to Angine de Poitrine, a really experimental and psychedelic band.

I’ve been in a similar situation just recently. It happened last year around the same time, too. Sometimes we get into the mindset that productivity is a necessary sacrifice, but it’s not. You can only flog yourself so much until you drop.
Honestly, doing nothing is underrated, and it helps put things in perspective. “Vegging out” might look like laziness, but it’s really saying yes to yourself. Some people burn out sooner or later than others. It doesn’t mean they’re super productive, or not cut out for whatever it is.
Keep doing what you can to put yourself first. You eventually come back refreshed to maintain a pace more suited to you, and those who need you will be glad to have you back.
Also, therapy and meds helped me. No one should do without the former at least once in their lives, and it’s okay to admit you can’t function well without the latter.
You don’t have to “tough it out” for anyone but yourself.

Next thing you know, you turn 18, you get a notification on your laptop saying you’ve been enrolled in the Selective Service, you get a knock on your door, a military officer greets you, and says, “Good morning! We’ve taken notice of your academics and your Steam library…have you thought about your future, son?”

Yesterday’s BBQ playlist ☺️

My cat thinks I need a bath.

Thank you for your attention on this. Luckily, it seems to be working just fine now, after the latest update. Back to blorp go! ☺️

I’ve been using Blorp until recently because it supported piefed, and I enjoyed the sleek simplicity of the UI. However, it stopped refreshing my feed even though the mobile site was refreshing, so I switched back to Voyager. It’s familiar for me when I used it for Lemmy, and that familiarity goes a long way for me.

After I had a Kindle book removed from my account and device years ago, I decided to strip the DRM from my books and host them myself. There are better ways of procuring and storing your media.

Hey there. I’m up to chat, though I’m - 4 UTC.

They’re doing great, now that I’m back home after a 3-day trip. Dog won’t stop wagging her tail, and cat wanted out.

I just finished Deathstalker. It was even cheesier than the Beastmaster movies. A lot of puppets and early 90s midi music mixed with gore.

Translation: we’re giving ourselves raises.
I’m sure someone else is getting more money out of this excuse.

I’d drop it in a quadlet just to see what happens.

I’m still mourning _The Callisto Protocol_.
Velma had a playful morning. Now she wishes that I give her scraps from the grill.
